Based on Hanafi School of Thought the Fatawa were originally published in a Gujarati monthly for twelve years. 

These were then compiled and printed in book form in two volumes and titled Fatawa Rahimiyyah. 

Mufti Sahib's father Hadhrat Moulana Abdul Karim and Munshi Isa Bhai applied themselves tremendously to the task of compilation and arranging the Fatawa into chapters.

There was, however, the need to translate these Fatawa into Urdu.
