About Muhammad Al-Jurdani
Sheikh Muhammad al-Jurdani was born in Egypt and brought up therein. He belonged to Shafi' school of thought. He was a brilliant student of Ibrahim Bajuri Imam of the Shafi'iyyah.
He has written and completed several literary works among which are:
- Ithaf al-Anam bi Dhikri Fadaha'il Ramadhan wal Ahkam al-Siyam
- Ithaf al-Nasik Bayanil Manasik
- Ajwibat al-Jaliyyat 'an al-As'ilat al-Shar'iyyat fi Madhab al-Saadat al-Shafi'iyyah
- Jawahir al-Lu'liyyah fi Sharh al-Arba'in al-Nawawiyah
- Murshid al-Anam ila ma Yajib Ma'rifatihi min al-'Aqa'id wal Ahkam
- Nayl al-Maram min Ahadith Khayr al-Anam
- Misbah al-Dhulam wa Bahjatil Anam li Sharh Nayl al-Maram
He has passed away in 1331 H.
Imam Muhyiddin Abi Zakareyya Yahya ibn Sharaff al-Nawawi known simply as Imam Nawawi was Born in the village of Nawa in Southern Syria, Imam Nawawi spent most of his life in Damascus where he lived in a simple manner, devoted to Allah, engaging single-mindedly in worship, study, writing and teaching various Islamic sciences.
Although best known for his works in hadith, Yahya ibn Sharaf al-Nawawi (d. 676/1277) was also the Imam of the later Shafi'i school of Jurisprudence, and widely acknowledged as the intellectual heir to Imam Shafi'i. He was a renowned scholar and jurist who dedicated his life to the pursuit of Islamic learning.
Imam Nawawi died at the young age of 44 years, leaving behind him numerous works of great effort and knowledge.
Imam Nawawi is well known for books that are easy to understand.
