About The Author
Maulana Manzoor Naumani, Rahimahullah was a compassionate teacher whose lucid explanations and pertinent comments are indispensable for a serious hadith student.
A contemporary of Sheikh Syed Ali Nadwi and had very close links with Nadwa. He Settled in Lucknow after he had begun his Deeni work in Bareilly. On the insistence of its, authorities, he taught hadith at Nadwa and remained a member of the administration for a very long period.
Moulana No'mani’s speech and writings speak volumes about his erudition and all-round knowledge of tafsir, hadith, fiqh and the deviated sects. Having obtained his knowledge from the likes of Allamah Anwar Shah Kashmiri, it is no wonder that he was so thoroughly versed and immersed in knowledge. He remained engrossed in Deeni activity till the end of his life
He also established the journal Al-Furqan, now under the editorship of his son Maulana Khalilur Rahman Sajjad Nu'mani.
