Hidaayah is undoubtedly one of the greatest Fiqh kitaabs of the Hanafi Madh-habs, and one of the greatest Fiqh kitaabs ever written, which has earned the title of: "The Master Book". It is a kitaab which is so great that, rather than being named after its author, its author is named after it: "Saahib-e-Hidaayah", by Imaam al-Margheenaani رحمة الله عليه.

There is no Hanafi Madrasah or Darul Uloom in the world except that Hidaayah holds a very important role in its syllabus; yet, despite all of this, a great disservice is done to this kitaab in the form of the lack of properly teaching it on the part of many asaatidhah. This is due to the fact that many asaatidhah do not properly understand Hidaayah themselves, hence the fail to properly teach it and unlock the plethora of lessons inside of it pertaining to Fiqh, Usool-ul-Fiqh, Qawaa'id-ul-Fiqh, Dhawaabit-ul-Fiqh, Istihsaan, al-Masaalih al-Mursalah, etc., for the benefit of their students.

Because many students are not taught properly, they fail to understand Hidaayah, with some students even being unable to read the very 'ibaarat of Hidaayah without mistakes; hence, they fail to understand and appreciate just what a "Master Book" Hidaayah truly is, and the great service done to the Ummah of Islaam in general, and 'Ilm-ul-Fiqh in particular by Imaam al-Margheenaani رحمة الله عليه.

This kitaab is an attempt at remedying this unfortunate situation, both on the part of the teachers as well on the part of the students. It teaches the teachers how to teach Hidaayah better, and it teaches the students how to understand Hidaayah better; hence, this is an indispensable kitaab for both the asaatidhah and the talabah.

Along with being a guide on how to teach and study Hidaayah, this kitaab also gives detailed and beneficial information with regards to Usool-ul-Fiqh, Qawaa'id-ul-Fiqh and Dhawaabit-ul-Fiqh; these presented in list form along with relevant 'Ibaarat from Hidaayah by which one can see the practical implementation of them and how rulings are derived from them.
