Al-Taftazani, Imam Sa'd al-deen Masud bin Umar bin Abdullah al-Harawi al-Khurasani, the Hanafi scholar, jurist and a writer, known as Taftazani, he was born in year 722 and died in Samarqand in Muharram 792.

Masood bin Umar bin Abdullah al-Taftazani (Saad al-deen) a Classical Scholar of Arabic grammar, language, eloquence, Jurisprudence, Usool, logic and other. He was born in Taftazan, a village near to Nisa, he obtained knowledge from al-Qutb and al-adhadh, the people get benefited from his books, he died in Samarkand"
